Valve Timing Diagram for a Four Stroke Cycle Petrol Engine - The petroleum motors are otherwise called flash start motors. The valve timing outline for a four stroke cycle petroleum motor is displayed in Figure beneath:
The accompanying specifics are significant for a four stroke cycle petroleum motor in regards to valve timing graph :
Working of valve timing diagram
(a) The gulf valve opens (IVO) at 10° — 20° before top on target (TDC) and closes 30° — 40° after base right on target (BDC).
(b) The pressure of charge begins at 30° — 40° after BDC and closes at 20° — 30° before TDC.
(c) The start (IGN) of charge happens at 20° — 30° before TDC.
(d) The extension begins at 20° — 30° before TDC and closes at 30° — 50° before BDC.
(e) The exhaust valve opens (EVO) at 30° — 50° before BDC and shuts down at 10° — 15° after TDC.
Notes:
(I) The gulf valve of a four stroke I. C. motor remaining parts open for 230°.
(ii) The charge is compacted when both the valves (for example delta valve and exhaust valve) are shut.
(iii) The accuse is touched off of the assistance of a flash fitting.
(iv) The strain inside the motor chamber is over the air tension during the exhaust stroke.
